God Channel interview 12/2/04

Dear All,Thanks for the prayer. The God TV thing went well and was a real stretch for me. Felt a bit like an 'old codger' with all the youth culture presentation, but they invited me back so that was nice. (Broadcast on a magazine program called 'Dream-on TV'). UCB radio did an interview which went very smoothly. They also connected me with a producer who records good quality CD's for them, so maybe you could pray for the faith, wisdom and boldness for me to believe for the finance. ( £5000 Gulp!!!)

The old Cavalier (20 years) finally died in the car park of Mum's old peoples home, so I now have a 10 year old Sierra. It's moving in the right direction! I'm still waiting for my home in Wales to be vacated so I can get settled back into a semi- normal routine again and excited in expectancy of what the Lord will do this year in Wales.

I have not been able to export my address book from Hotmail to Yahoo yet, so that is why I have been still using the old address. Thanks for the personal mail. I think I am up to date with my replies.

PS My friend Richard who I asked for prayer for last year has had a clear report from his doctor regarding the cancer on his lungs. Praise Jesus!

First from Billericay England 21/1/04. Drizzle in January.

Dear All, Hope you all had a good Christmas with family and friends wherever you are.
Mine was very quiet with a few family meals but it was good to make contact again.
I'm staying with Mum in her new sheltered accommodation where she moved last year to be near to my sisters. It's a lot smaller than the London family house, and with all the junk that I have accumulated over the years ,it has been difficult to find places for it here until I can take it to my house in Wales. I love junk. While I'm alive I enjoy all the stuff that I rescued from the refuse to, one day be useful. I'm sure it will. I will just have to build a shed in Wales to keep it all.

This year I want to wade through all my songs written on scrapes of McDonalds tray liners, and find whether there are enough to put on a new CD. I think it will be called ' Broken Wheels'. I will put it on the website for anyone who want's it.

Now I have a smart PC, put together by my friend and web site designer Antony; cleverly out of many other parts that he pulled together, I may try to write something of a book about the trips. I only want to do it if the Lord inspires it to be of use to others on a similar journey. I would appreciate your prayer about this as you have been with me over the past few years in your prayers and thoughts. Maybe I can do it without all the traditional publishing maze. England is wet as usual at this time of year. January is not my favourite month. The old car I use, made it through the MOT ( British vehicle test) miraculously again, but it's definitely feeling it's 20 years of use. Yesterday the windscreen wipers packed up in the middle of a journey to London in the rain. That was a trial. Since it was stolen from outside my house in Wales last time home I have had to start it with a screwdriver. I would like to get a VW camper and do a little local touring this year. We shall see. I think I had gypsy in my ancestry.

Anyway... I hope you are all well and blessed wherever you are and that you will send me a personal message so I can know more about your news. Now I'm not pecking away in a weird and wonderful cyber cafe in the middle of Timbuktu, or racing the clock at the library, I will be able to send you some personals.
Thank you for staying in touch.

Love MikeX
